World of warcraft tips and hints
63The basics of wow hints a tips
World of warcraft is one of the most popular mmorpg ( massive multiplayer online role paying game) out there! I love this game my self its very addictive. I thought i would give out some hints that i learned along the way and wish i wouldve known in the begginging.
First for those of you that havent heard about it ill explain, this is a game you play online against other real people also playing the game or you can play with them there are quests and beast for you to fight.. now to get started.
First of all, there is horde and alliance. Horde being bad alliance being good. the current races on alliance are ; Draenie's dwarve's gnome's human's and night elve's.And horde; blood elve's, orc's, tauren, trolls, and undead.
I will put a link to a page where you can click and see the different traits of each race
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/
After choosing a race you will choose the class of your toon or character there are Druids, hunters, mages, paladins, priests, rouges, shamans, warlocks, warriors and death knights.
When you look at the different races on alliance and horde you will find they all look very unuque there is a option for a human toon, i myself chose draenie they are holy althought in the game people like to prefer to them as blue devils? lol.Anyways, when you click on the different races to the right of the screen you will see 3 different boxes explaining a little about each thing you chosed and one will be about your race, when you click enter world you will enter and there will be a cut scene to explain to you even more in depth about your race.
When it comes to choosing your class you should think about what you enjoy doing in a game would you like to get up close and fight or range fight would you like to be able to heal your self or go stealth or have totems to heal you? I prefer the hunter you get a pet at level 10 and range fighting is awesome when you have your pet to keep your enemy at a range. Once again to the right will be a little box explaining a little about this class you have chosen
( If your wondering the third box explains about alliance or horde which ever you choose.)
Oh you can also choose male or female, alot of men i have found out choose female to get the extra help women tend to get lol. And alot of women make a male so they wont get sexist comments.
You will have the option of customizing your toon as well, you wont get to change the armor until in the game when you are questing making money.
Ill get some more pics soon
Okay now for when you actually enter the world!
You will start out in your races territory, ( no where near horde or alliance which ever is the opposite of what you have chosen) You will hear the cut seen and then theres you your name will be above you, on the screen you will see a few things on the very far bottom right the brown bag that is inventory the empty slots next to them you will be able to put more bags later in the game, theres also a key slot in some quest you will aquire keys. ten you see 9 icons with different symbols the one of your face is to look at your toon and skills of your toon etc the golden cup is to show your quest( quest log) the sheild is to show your honor computer is for settings questions mark for help then the book is to show differnt skills you have such as attacks or proffesions etc.
Then to the left of that are alot of spots for icons( icons that go there are different attacks). As you train ( every even number) you get a new attack and sum passive thigns that arent attacks but help your stats.
Okay so you will see a few exclamation marks (!) That are yellow. go to those click on them and read quest then click accept, once you have completed the quest in your quest log it will say completed. YOu will then see a question mark (?) where there was once the exclamation mark you turn it in get XP and money and a object nost of the time. [ i find the best way to quest is to gather all of the quest finish them all at once and then turn them in] although at a low level this is harder because your bag gets full and it may be a whole level or two before you get more bags. In the beggining leveling is a breeze up until level 20 then it gets a little harder. Once you hit level2 you will need to train, your trainer will be the same class as you you can ask a guard where it is, or sumtimes you will get a quest directing you there, go to the guard click him , a list will pop up click training then click your class and a red flag will pop up oin screen go to red flag. you then will click your trainer and click train on the box that pops up if you dont have enough cash to train go to a vendor which will be near by and sell your items be sure not to sell items you need such as better armor or quest items. Then with the money you make train. Depeneding on the level you may get more than one attack,
Once you have gotten this attack click on the book icon and the one highlitghted and slightly blinking will be the one you have a new atack under if it says paasive you cannot do this ( click the icon you have learned the new attack and then drag it down in the next empty icon space) theres your new attack! be sure to do that or the training will be pointless.
Also you will know you level because a golden flash will go all around you.
As you quest you will get different items some will be armor but you will also get armor in finishing a quest not jsut questing look at your profile ( your little head icon-click that) scroll over your armor to see stats. Then scroll over armoe in your inventory and put on the one with better stats by right clicking it, The one you had on will be out in inventory adnd you can sell.
Once you have completed all quest in your starting out town you will have a quest to move on, by now you will probably be level ten,
in which you can get a proffession such as,
Black smithing leatherworking alchamy enchanting-disenchanting engineering inscription jewl crafint and tailoring those are the proffesions in which you make items but you will need one of these gathering skills to go along with this proffesion ( so you are allowded to proffesions.)
Herbalism goes with-alchamy& inscription, skinning-leatherworking, Mining-jewel crafting blsck dmithing &engineering, Enchainting can go with tailroing ( both of those pretty much have to buy the items or hope for a drop of them)
Depending on what you like is what you should choose enchainting you can give your items such as armor or weapons boost, leather working blacksmithing & tailoring you can make clithing jewel crafint you can make items to boost dif stats. alchamy inscription also diff boosts.
If you strt out wearing mail armor ( black smithing) leather armor( leather working) or cloth ( taiolring)
But engineering ive found is one of the most expensive but has great items!
Once your at a comfortable level its good to work on your proffesions some because later in the game at a higher level you will really be able to make some money using your proffesions.
Now there are the 3 secondary proffesions every one can train for fishing cooking and first aid-
all of these you go to your main city or the closest city near by and ask the guard where they are and train for them ( yes they cost money)
for alot of the skills you wont need anything but a kinning knife or mining pick most of the animals are skinnable and there are mining rocks everywhere in your map on the top right hand screen you can click the lilttle circle in the bottom and select find mining spots to find minging spots or find herbs for herbalism.
go here for more info on proffessions> http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/professions/
through out the game you will move towns and eventually you will see your enemey either horde or alliance the opp. of what you have chosen you may turn on your PVP by clicking the icon in the top peft and select turn on pvp. YOu can dual them but beware if you dont win your pvp stays on for five min after youi click turn off and in which you have to not fight back and they can keep coming back to kill you then you have damaged armor in which oyou will have to pay to repair. ( spekaing of that agfter so many quest you will need to find a person to fix your armor ask any gurd they can direct you at one and go to them right click then click repair all cost money but not really exoensive till your a higher level.)
You dont have to dual but you can also dual your own race by clicking on a toon then right clicking there icon and selecting dual in whcih pvp will not be on . you get no xp for dualing.
Now there are dungeons whcih are aweosome xp in group and give out great items!! you can go to a big city or even in your town and write /1 (space then type) looking to run level _ dingeon most of the time you will get a response. Or click the little green icon i forgot to mention and look for a group.
Theres also battle ground which you cant do until level 20 but you now get xp for them its where alliance and horde go against each otehr to take over the certain place you are ported to in entering a BG.
WHen you start you have a little rock in your bag this takes you back to your home town where the inn keeper stays you can right click it and be prted back, also you can change where you want to be ported to by going to an inn keeper in any town and right clicking and requesting to have your inn changed to the one you are in.
AS you get higher up you will get alot better and quicker.
You can add friends to a friends list, chat with them and group up. www.wow.com is the main website for alot of information i may not of covered but ill probably have another hub or contintue this one later on with more information. but this is the basics.
